Tom Acousti

Tom Acousti developed his own one-of-a-kind performing songwriter craft during the 1990s, delivering more than 1000 campus concerts throughout the United States. Alongside this college run, Tom brought his song and performance skills to the television show Star Search (7 time winner in 1994) and the stage musical Fame as creator of a lead role, Nick Piazza.  In the years living in New York, Los Angeles, and Nashville Acousti studied and taught songwriting, produced and recorded as an artist himself, and wrote/produced songs for film.  Now back in his hometown, Portland, Maine since 2003, Tom teaches songwriting and music production (See Workshops page) and produces records for other artists (recently – John Paul (Belmont Boulevard) & Joe Farren (Til the Day).  In summer ‘08 Acousti and partners are launching Sound Harbor Music Publishing with a mission of creating, producing, and licensing extraordinary songs to country/pop markets, TV, and film.
